National Monument Service of Ireland sent our information to the Irish Government office.

We finally got a reply from the National Monument Service of Ireland, they sent my message to the Government office for them to look into it. Finally after 30 years of trying to get something done with the Black Castle, we might have finally started the ball rolling.

We told them there is a group of people in Thurles, we set up the Black Castle Society. So, when they get back to us regarding the Black Castle, we will hopefully get good news. After such a long time trying to get someone to at least take a look at the castle, with the prospects of bringing tourism, festivals and employment opportunities to the town, how is that not a legitimate reason to save the Black Castle ?
